I do not believe in love at first sight.
Except for now and then.
And last week was a now and then sort of week.
Lots of loves at first sight.
Lots of oohs and aahs and photo ops.
I took a whole lotta pictures.
These are some of my favorites.
I’ll be quiet now and hope you fall in love too.

Beautiful pictures. I can look at half dome for hours. It is so beautiful from so many angles…
Likewise! All the photos are gorgeous, but that’s the one that had me exclaiming aloud.
It is haunting, I think.
It was cool and cloudy while we were there but the various shades of grey in the sky and on Half Dome made for very interesting perspectives. Thanks ShimonZ
Just, wow.
I saw wow many times last week
I am in love with them all, but especially the Bath with a View, and the Mariposa Grove and the Sunset Pacific! Thanks so much for sharing
Thank you Dor. It was a wonderful trip–but I am glad to be home again
Ooh ah. Thank you for sharing. I particularly love that lighthouse. What a pity that so many have fallen into disrepair around the world.
I believe this particular lighthouse was “saved” through a community effort, Judith. It is quite special.
Lovely – you have such a great eye! Although the bathtub pic looks like an ad for erectile dysfunction.
This particular bathtub was put in place long before the Cialis ad so maybe it was the inspiration. I always thought that was a strange ad
Breathtaking. Thank you. Can imagine the thrill of actually seeing these beauties. Smiles!
Still smiling these days later, wannabemeagain
I was hard pressed to pick a favorite as I slowly scrolled down, oohing and aahing at the lovely photographs. And then I got to Mariposa Grove and I experienced love at first sight…
It was very foggy that day which meant you did not see the broader perspective of the grove but it sure made for some interesting short view pictures, Laurie.
Wow. That’s some really awesome photography. Very impressive!
Thank you Gabriela. Nice to see you
Gorgeous!! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Carolyn……it was a great trip from start to finish but I am glad to be home. Ready to write…….:-)
Lovely. Just lovely. Your images speak volumes and most of them are talking about love at first sight.
I had quite a few episodes of love at first sight on this trip—thank you, Michelle.
Each photo brought me to a unique place within and each invoked a different emotion. Absolutely amazing!! Thank you!!!
Glad you liked them, Kathy. It was great fun to capture some of the images along the way.
How could you not fall in love with those places? I’ve been to a few of them, and they are incredible and awe-inspiring. And, above all, soul-nourishing.
Yes, that is what it truly was—soul-nourishing. Thanks
I like them all, of course. But I love Sideways Glance. Your ability to capture the essence of your subjects is amazing.
I had lots of fun playing back and forth with that bird. That was my favorite view of him
Yep. It’s love, all right…
I hope your trip was as lovely as the photos.
It was a lovely trip…….always enjoy my time away and always enjoy getting back home. You know how it is about that…….:-)
Wow . Half-dome looks so mysterious.
Haunting was what came to mind when I saw it against the sky of grey
Love at first sight and for always. Amazing photos.
Thank you, Georgette.
All gorgeous. The beacon one is breathtaking!
That was a last minute shot that turned out to be a keeper
Oh, wow. The lighthouse is exquisite. What a marvelous day for you – spending it in the love of scenery is a fine way to pass the hours.
Thank you
. We had spent about an hour taking pictures at the lighthouse and as we drove away I saw that view in the rearview mirror. Made a quick u-turn and took that shot, which is one of my favorites too.
You have such an amazing eye. It takes a great photographer to capture the ‘feel’ and you do it with such ease. Love them all.
b
That is a great compliment B…..I like to think I capture the ‘feel’ of places
Thank you.
What an amazing set of photographs. I just kept scrolling up and down them enjoying them over and over again
I took so many pictures on this trip it was hard to narrow the number down…..I am glad you enjoyed them
Awesome ‘sights’ framed by your wonderfully creative eye. I think I just fell in love with the ‘silouette’. So haunting.
That is a particular favorite of mine, too. Thanks for looking at my show and tell, writingfeemail
Wonderful collection … the Beacon and the Sunset are the ones that capture me the most.
I should have done a poll and had folks vote on their favorite. I think the Beacon might have won
. Thanks for taking the time to look.
The bird seems quite confident and comical. If only we could read its thoughts.
He was downright sassy
. Thanks Margie.
Those mountains, that lighthouse – yes, I’m in love too!
We are fools in love aren’t we Ladyfi?
I usually don’t like tub baths but I wouldn’t mind taking one up there. Wonderful photos all Bella. Are these all along the Pacific coast?
The Pacific coast and at Yosemite. Thank you, Huffygirl.
Yes I love them as well, especially the bathtub. How refreshing!
I think I want a tub like that—here and now
Great pictures as usual. I have a caption for the bird picture: “If you don’t mind Bella, I’m busy grooming here!”
You are right Al—Bella was annoying that bird
OK. I fell too!
We all need to fall once in a while, don’t we? Thank you Elyse.
All those in a week? Wow. So many beautiful things, great photos.
Lots of miles, lots of smiles. And a whole lotta pictures patti
I do believe in desire and attraction at first sight.
Great shots here. Mu favorite it the Mariposa Grove.
I agree with you as far as instant desire and attraction. But love? Takes me a little longer
Must be my cautious heart. Thanks, Kourtney.
You had me at Lighthouse! Gorgeous photos, WB!!
Reeling—glad you liked these. I got a little carried away with pictures again
The photos are so stunning and so professional, they really blow my mind.
I have lots of fun with my camera Main Street—but it is easy to take stunning pictures when the subjects are so photogenic
Okay, just arriving. My sweetheart said it’s his turn to cook. After the views all around outside, I walk into that exquisite library. Out to the deckchair for a spell of good literature; then into the bath for an aromatherapy soak and a lingering in nature’s artistry.
Think I’ll put on my long black velvet chemise.
Ummm…dinner must be ready. The aromas lure and the candles flicker. Love is in the air.
Souldipper–you are amazing. I find lots of writing prompts in my pictures but maybe I should turn them all over to you because I think you’d churn out an entire novel in no time
Thank you.
Love!
Thank you, Elena. Good to see you
Lovely… those places look familiar! Sorry I’ve been absent for awhile.
Happy you visited, Marvin. We need to catch up
Beautiful. So attractive. The best thing is each one is different from the other.
I saw so many great things on this trip that it was hard to whittle my choices down, Arindam. Thank you.
love the half dome
Thanks, belatedly, Livvy
Stunning shots!
Thank you—glad you stopped in and enjoyed them
Beautiful. I really like the one of the bird, and the silhouetty one above it. Really lovely to reflect on.
Those are two of my favorites. Well, I guess all of these are my favorites
Thank you so much for stopping in
I came here to look for my wisdom words from winsomebella, but she has been quiet the last couple of weeks, so I had to go back to see if I had missed some previous posts. So here I am, looking at some gorgeous pictures. All captured with a clear intent and a personal vision that emanates across the interface of the blog. Although I have seen a few of the subject matters before – and even shot them myself – they come to me with new insight and a new visual expression. Love at first sight. My favourite pictures are the one of Pigeon Point Lighthouse and the one of Half Dome.
